One Club for All: Diversity Day at Burnley FC

17 November 2017

Burnley FC will host Diversity Day at this Saturday’s upcoming fixture against Swansea City.

Diversity Day will be a celebration of equality and diversity at Burnley FC and will be supported by football’s equality and inclusion organisation, Kick It Out.

We will focus on the brilliant diversity of our fan base and aim to show our appreciation for our young, old, disabled, BAME and LGBT supporters alike.

Led by the message of ‘One Club for All’, the fixture will be marked by the players warming up in ‘One Club for All’ t-shirts, with a 100-strong pitch side guard of honour made up of individuals from a cross-section of the communities surrounding Turf Moor.

The match day programme, 'Turf' will be dedicated to the work currently being carried out at the club around the promotion of equality and diversity.

Diversity Day is also an indicator of the real progress made in the past 12 months with regards to the club’s equality work.

Last month, Burnley Football Club was awarded with the Preliminary Level of the Premier League’s Equality Standard - and the club will now work towards securing the Intermediate Level in the coming 18 months.

Burnley FC is for everyone, so please join us in celebrating diversity at Turf Moor on Saturday. Use the hashtag #BFCforall to share your photos.
