The Clarets’ stunning start to the season has been rewarded with nominations for Sean Dyche and Nick Pope in the monthly Premier League awards.
Manager Dyche is shortlisted for the Barclays Manager of the Month, after steering the Clarets to seventh place in the league.
The gaffer masterminded a first win at Everton since 1976, followed by a hard-fought draw at home to West Ham United and last week’s Turf Moor victory over Newcastle that cemented the best start to a top-flight season in over 40 years.
Dyche is shortlisted alongside Pep Guardiola of Manchester City – the only side to defeat Burnley in October - Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino and Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Nick Pope is in the running for the EA Sports Player of the Month, after impressing the judges since earning the gloves.
Pope who made 21 saves in the month and kept two clean sheets, at Everton and at home to Newcastle, is nominated alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Leroy Sane (Manchester City), Nacho Monreal (Arsenal), Glenn Murray (Brighton) and Wilf Zaha (Crystal Palace).
