Burnley FC’s final home game against West Ham United is the platform to raise awareness and funds for a cause close to all our hearts – The Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal. Barry set up the appeal in 2016 and the Appeal has already supported in the over 1400 prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood tests at Burnley FC and Preston North End FC.
Around 140 men’s lives have been positively affected by the Appeal to date. Of the 1,400 men tested, nearly 10% received test results indicating that their PSA levels were outside of the ‘normal’ range and were advised to see their doctors to discuss.
Please help make a difference in your community by contributing to the success of this simple test that has been proven to save lives. It cannot be effective unless we have the support of you, the supporters, and this is how you can help;
