Tristan Jumeau has been named as the Clarets’ Scholar of the Year 2016/17.
The winger, 17, collected his award from the Premier League at a special event at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground.
Jumeau, who will start his second year as a full-time scholar at Turf Moor in July after helping Michael Duff’s under-18 side finish second in the North West Youth Alliance this season, was nominated by the Clarets’ Academy staff.
“Tristan has been fantastic on and off the field and a fine example to everyone,” said Academy Manager Jonathan Pepper.
The leading scholar from each Premier League club – based on performance, attitude and educational approach – received a trophy at the awards evening, with Tristan accompanied by his father and brother Olivier, who also started in the youth system at Burnley before moving to Morecambe.
