The Clarets will play at Nottingham Forest as part of their pre-season programme.
The trip to the City Ground can now be confirmed as Burnley's second warm-up game against Championship opposition, following on from a visit to Lancashire neighbours Preston North End.
The game against Forest - who secured their Championship status on the final day of the season and have since been bought by Greek shipping magnate Evangelos Marinakis - will take place on Saturday, 29 July (KO 3pm).
Ticket details will be announced at a later date.
