Travelling Clarets - Anfield Fan Information

10 March 2017

Some information from Liverpool FC for all the Clarets travelling to Anfield this weekend.

There have been quite a few changes to the ground this season, so we suggest that you familiarise yourself with the information below ahead of your journey.

Along with our new main stand, we have additional facilities across the ground. Our Visiting Anfield guide includes info on Fan Areas, Access points and things to do when in Liverpool.

Getting to the Ground:
We would advise all attending fans to arrive early at the Stadium to ensure they are able to enter in time for kick off.

You can find out the best way to get to Anfield by clicking here:

Please note - The drop off and pick up location for your coaches is Arkle’s lane.

Accessible Facilities:
We also have an Access guide that provides information for disabled supporters which may help you plan your visit to the ground.

Food and Drink inside the stadium:
Our kiosks offer a range of hot and cold refreshments. For those supporters who enter the ground within the first 30 minutes of turnstiles opening, we offer a ‘Buy a pie and get a soft / hot drink free’ meal deal. To manage the expectations of those fans who only want a pint, a separate beer kiosk is available and will save them time from queuing at the main kiosk.

Fan Areas:
Four hours before kick-off we open our Fan Areas which welcome both home and away supporters.
There are activities and competitions for all fans to take part in regardless of their age. We have toilet facilities in the zones which include Accessible and baby changing facilities.  Food and drink is also available in the Fan Zones including street food style offerings. Our Fan Zones are located on Anfield Rd and Paisley SQ (Main Stand)

Fan Support:
We have a team of dedicated Fan Support Team who are on hand around the exterior of the stadium and the roads surrounding the ground, to assist fans with any enquiry you may have. The location areas where the team members are based are visible and are easy to identify by their yellow high visibility jackets and information flags. We also have Fan Support team members positioned in the following locations:
• City Centre - Lime St  Train Station
• City Centre –Queens Square Bus station

Please can we advise you to arrive early at the Stadium for entry to ensure you are able to enter in time for kick off at 16.00. Turnstiles will open at approximately 14.00 (two hours before KO) and we encourage all supporters to arrive as early as possible to clear security as kick off will not be delayed. Our stewards will be conducting thorough ticket checks and searches before fans access the turnstiles and once inside the ground before reaching the seated areas, the stewards will be on hand to direct fans to the seat marked on their tickets – fans will not be permitted to migrate to other areas. We will not be able to upgrade any concessionary tickets from junior/senior to adult tickets on the day of the game. We do not have any “left luggage” facilities at the ground. Only small bags can be brought in to the stadium.

Social Media:
Our Official Twitter feed (@LFC) we will be tweeting and messaging match day build up information, travel advice and updates. For up to date travel information on the day of the game, follow the Match day Merseyside Police twitter account @MerPolLFC and before setting off.
