After months of preparation Burnley FC in the Community is delighted to announce that Whitehough Outdoor Centre will be re-opening its doors in September 2017 and bookings are now being taken!
BFCitC have secured the 22-acre facility nestled in the serene surroundings of the Pendle countryside on a 125 year lease from Lancashire County Council via a community asset transfer. The iconic site can sleep up to 90 people, has two classrooms, a large dining room, an extensive camping field and an 80-seater conference suite suitable for training and presentations.
The outdoor education centre has impacted generations of locals and BFCitC are thrilled to be operating the site so it can continue to provide happy memories for thousands of local people for generations to come!
With all the outdoor education provision delivered by qualified instructors and activities on offer including abseiling, orienteering, archery and high ropes to name just a few, those looking for an outdoor adventure location need look no further than Whitehough.
BFCitC are also currently recruiting for a Centre Manager to co-ordinate the site’s delivery plans. The passionate, motivated and organised individual will lead the day-to-day operations at Whitehough ensuring everybody that visits enjoys a high-quality experience.
