Burnley FC are looking for young people to join their brand-new Community Youth Board.
The Community Youth Board will be made up of a group of ten young people aged 14-19 years who will meet on a regular basis in the Turf Moor Boardroom to help shape the work of the club and develop of the club’s community work across the region.
The youth board will aim to represent a cross section of our diverse community and allow young people from all walks of life to have a voice.
Burnley FC in the Community’s Chief Executive Officer, Neil Hart said, “This is very much a commitment from the club that we want young people at the heart of the development of our club with a focus on developing and shaping the club’s community work.
This is a genuine belief that young people are 100% the future, we want to engagement and we want to listen. 90% of our community work across the region is with children and young people which currently engages with over 20,000 children and young people per annum so I would urge young people aged 14-19 to put your name forward and get involved!”
We are keen to encourage schools, teachers, community organisations, charities, and youth clubs to nominate young people and supporting them in applying to become a member of the Club’s Community Youth Board.
There will be an online application process for all those young people interested in being part of our Community Youth Board and the closing date for submitting your application is Friday 21st July 2017.
We will inform all applicants by Friday 18th August with the outcome of their application.
