The Clarets face an FA Cup third-round trip to Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Sean Dyche’s side were paired with the five-times Cup winners in Monday night's draw.
The third round of the competition will take place across the weekend of 5-8 January 2018, with winning clubs receiving £67,500 from the FA Cup prize fund.
Scheduling and ticket details for the Clarets’ tie will be confirmed in due course.
The two clubs have met three times in the Cup, but only once since the Second World War, with City winning a third-round tie 1-0 at Turf Moor in January, 1991.
