Young Clarets In Title Charge

28 April 2017

Burnley’s Youth Team aim to take an exciting title race to the last weekend of the season with victory at Shrewsbury tomorrow (Sat).

The Clarets currently sit joint top of the Youth Alliance with Blackpool, with just two games remaining.

Crucially, the Seasiders top the table courtesy of an unassailable goal difference.

However, after a magnificent winning run of eight straight wins, and nine in their last 10, Michael Duff’s side are pounced to take full advantage if Pool slip up in either of their last two games.

On the penultimate weekend of the season, Burnley travel to eighth placed Shrewsbury, with Blackpool away to bottom club Wrexham. Both games kick off at 11am.

The final day, on Saturday, May 6, sees Burnley host 11th placed Accrington Stanley, with the Seasiders at home to third-bottom Morecambe.

There will be live updates from both of Burnley’s games on our Twitter account, @burnleyofficial, with match reports following on the official website.
