Boss Sean Dyche insists nothing has changed regarding Michael Keane’s position at Turf Moor.
Keane has been linked in the media with a summer move away from Burnley following an outstanding season back in the Premier League.
But the England defender, 24, remains under contract until the end of the 2017/18 campaign and the Clarets are no longer in a position where they need to sell their prize assets.
“Nothing has changed. It’s an on-going situation. Keano knows where he stands with it,” said Dyche.
“It’s quite obvious he’s got his eyes on the target for us as a club with his performances and international recognition, which I think was thoroughly deserved.
“All parties are in the loop with how we see the future unfolding.
“He is under contract and if anything happens it will be appropriate to all parties and fit in with all parties.
“We are a different animal from what we were a few years ago. We are in a very strong business situation.
"The thing that has changed massively in my time here is we now control these situations.”
