Olympic gold medallist Steven Burke will be the special guest at Turf Moor on Monday Night.
The track cyclist, who hails from Colne, was again part of the historic four-man Great Britain team at Rio 2016, repeating their gold in London in 2012 by again twice breaking the world record in the team pursuit.
That was Steven’s third Olympic medal, following a bronze in the individual pursuit event in Beijing in 2008, behind team mate and fellow gold medallist Bradley Wiggins.
Clitheroe canoeist Jon Schofield, who along with partner Liam Heath won a silver medal in the men's K2 200m sprint event Rio, to follow up the bronze in the same event at the 2012 Olympics, is unable to be with us on Monday, but will receive an invitation to a future game.
Steven will be introduced to the crowd at half time during the Premier League game v Watford at Turf Moor.
