Chris Long scored his second goal on loan at Fleetwood Town as they recorded a 2-0 victory over Coventry City in League One.

Long struck in the 58th minute after collecting Kyle Dempsey’s pass, taking on his man and firing a low left-footed shot into the corner.

Fellow Claret Dan Agyei also featured in the game at Highbury Stadium, playing 72 minutes before making way for Andre Wright.

Elsewhere, Danny Lafferty made his first appearance for Sheffield United and completed the full 90 minutes in their 2-1 win over Gillingham.



The Blades recorded their first away win of the League One campaign as Billy Sharp’s late penalty secured all three points.

Defender Alex Whitmore was also in action as he played the duration of Morecambe’s 2-1 home defeat to Leyton Orient.

Burnley-born centre-back Tom Anderson appeared as a late 87th minute substitute as Chesterfield narrowly lost out to AFC Wimbledon 2-1.
