Burnley FC in the Community has been shortlisted for two Northwest Football awards, for the second year running.
As a self-financing charity embedded within Burnley FC, Burnley FC in the Community will feature in the ‘Community Club of the Year’ and ‘Community Initiative of the Year’ categories, returning to the event where the 2014/15 ‘Community Club of the Year’ title was secured by the charity last November.
Held in Manchester on the 14th November, the event will bring together clubs, organisations and professionals from around the North West to pay tribute to, and recognise, those who achieved footballing excellence both on and off the field in the 15/16 season.
Neil Hart, CEO of Burnley FC in the Community, said: “We are honoured to have been shortlisted as these nominations are testament to the outstanding work completed by our
Charity in only our second full year of operations. We are delighted to be attending the prestigious event for the second year running and we are incredibly proud to have been recognised for our efforts.”
The event will be attended by players, management and staff from clubs around the region, including Burnley FC, at Emirates Old Trafford, Lancashire County Cricket Club in Manchester.
