Burnley U18s secured their first win in five games after beating Bury 2-1, with RJ Pingling opening the scoring and Tinashe Chakwana, pictured above, getting the winner late on.
It was the Shakers who started on the front foot as Callum Styles tested Connor King from just outside the box as his shot was parried out into the feet of Oliver Younger, who cleared.
Burnley then had their turn to have a go on goal when Dwight McNeil linked up with Ali Koiki on the left, before Koki whipped in an excellent cross which Pingling couldn't convert from close range.
The Clarets then came close to breaking the deadlock as Tyler Shrimpton's corner glided across the box before finding James Clarke at the far post, who saw his effort cleared off the line by Joe Adams.
Michael Duff's side did then make the difference as McNeil found Pingling, who curled a 25 yard effort, via a slight deflection, past a stranded Cameron Mculloch in the Bury goal.
The home side were cruising and looked to have doubled their lead minutes later as Pingling dinked a neat ball over the Bury defence which Chakwana latched onto; however his shot was blazed high over the bar.
However, Bury did come out looking for an instant equaliser after the break - and got it when a free kick crossed in from Styles found Jesse Arizona at the back post, who slotted home past King.
End-to-end football from both sides followed, and when Olatunde Bayode found McNeil at the front post from a cross it looked asif the winger had put the Clarets ahead again. However, Mculloch pulled off an amazing save to keep the score at 1-1.
Seconds later though, Duff's side won it as Chakwana was played through on goal and slotted past Shakers skipper Mculloch.
