Tom Heaton earned the praise of one of his heroes after a superb performance against his former club helped Burnley earn a first away point of the season at Manchester United.
Heaton started his career at Old Trafford, where former United legend Peter Schmeichel was one of his inspirations.
And after keeping United at bay in a 0-0 draw, one of Heaton's second-half saves from Zlatan Ibrahimovic had ex-United number-one Schmeichel drooling.
The great Dane Tweeted: "Tom Heatons save from Ibrahimovic is in my opinion one of the best in @premierleague history. Just saying!"
Heaton replicated one of Schmeichel's famous star-jump saves to keep out a close-range effort from Ibrahimovic and pull off arguably the pick of a handful of top-quality stops.
"A couple of the lads were around me on the line so I thought I would try and get out to it and close the space and spread," explained the Clarets' skipper.
"Thankfully a fully extended arm, it hit the hand and it was a sore one of the elbow. But they're never quite as sore when you save them."
If Heaton was the man of the match, he was quick to share the plaudits with his team-mates and goalkeeping colleague Paul Robinson, who didn't come off the bench but played his part in helping Burnley earn their first point at Old Trafford since 1974.
Heaton added: "Paul Robinson mentioned it at half time. He's our most experienced player and he said there won't be many opportunities in your career where you have a chance to get a result at Old Trafford and to make sure.
"It was a brilliant point and that sort of geared us up for the second half and you could see how we went about it.
"The heart and desire on show, the hard work, and putting bodies on the line was incredible. To play behind that was brilliant.
"It was a superb performance and the fans today were brilliant from start to finish.
"It was a brilliant day and one we're going to savour. A lot has been made of our away performances so far and we wanted to put that right.
"I thought the performance was much more like us and lo and behold we've come away with a great point and an excellent clean sheet. Hopefully we can kick on from here away from home."
