If we're successful, the bid will see our expert education staff implement an innovative programme called Primary Enterprise Challenge to 24 schools in our local community.
The aim of the half-term long programme is to develop business, financial, entrepreneurial and employment skills in Year 6 students; using the powerful tool of Burnley FC to inspire learning.
This programme will nurture skills in young people that will invaluable for both their education and their future working lives. The aspirational ethos of a professional, Premier League football club will tackle traditional, local barriers to learning and employment - instead boosting confidence, showcasing career opportunities and encouraging a can-do approach to life and work.
The Aviva Community Fund works on a voting system. The projects with the most votes will become finalists and these projects will then go on to be assessed by a judging panel.
Please help us to help young people in our region by choosing to vote for your charity. All those who register will get 10 votes each and they can ALL be used for our project! Voting closes on Friday 18th November 2016.
