Burnley captain Tom Heaton has been nominated for the Premier League player of the month for October.
The goalkeeper has been put forward by league organisers after putting in some tremendous performances throughout the month, including man of the match displays at Southampton and Manchester United.
Heaton has been a rock between the posts for the Clarets this season keeping three clean sheets so far, including a fantastic performance in his sides 0-0 draw at Old Trafford, where he faced a record 37 shots.

Public voting is now open on the Premier League website, and will close at midnight on Monday, 7th November, with the winners being announced on Friday 18th (due to the international break).
The public vote accounts for 10% of the overall vote and is put into consideration with the votes of a panel of experts, including Premier League legends such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Alan Shearer and Jamie Carragher.
