Burnley’s Development Squad came back from a goal down to record a 3-1 victory over Fleetwood at the Cod Army’s Pool Foot Farm training ground.
Goals from Arlen Birch (above), Tinashe Chakwana and a trialist gave Michael Jolley’s young side a welcome win.
Fleetwood – whose first team plays Southport in an FA Cup first-round replay on Tuesday night - went close to going in front when Sheffield United loanee Kieran Wallace rattled the cross bar with a thumping free-kick from 25 yards out.
The Clarets' first chance of the match fell to Taofiq Olomewewe at the back post but from a Brad Jackson cross, the 6ft 3in defender couldn't direct his header on goal.
Chakwana then went close following a fine Freddy Yao run but was denied by a fine save from Town keeper Matt Urwin.
But just before the break the home side went 1-0 up when Keano Deacon's cross found Ashley Nadesan to slot past Connor Mitchell in the Clarets’ goal.
Burnley started the second half strongly and it paid off when one of two trialists included in the starting line-up darted into the box and fired in from a tight angle to make it 1-1.
And minutes later Jolley's side took the lead as Birch rose highest in the area to nod in Jackson's corner.
Fleetwood threatened an equaliser when defender Joe Davis connected with a bicycle kick 10 yards out but the centre half's acrobatic effort flew well over the bar.
And Burnley made sure of victory when Jackson found space in the box before teeing up Chakwana at the back post to smash home a half-volley.
