DofE - Community are looking for volunteers!

17 November 2016

Burnley FC in the Community are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support in the delivery of the Duke of Edinburgh Award across Burnley. DofE is a youth award programme focusing on both personal development and skills development with young people aged 14-25.

As well as outdoor expedition support (from March to October), we also need volunteers who would like to get involved with the many other strands of the award. From supporting with online database management and day to day participant contact (through the online logbook system 'eDofE'), to focusing on the personal achievements and skill-set development of participants; these are dynamic roles with plenty of potential to evolve.

Every year we ensure hundreds of young people (aged 14-25) complete their Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award and we currently support around 10 schools and colleges in the delivery of the Award - so there's plenty to be a part of!

Perhaps you have done your Gold Award and would like to do others? Or you simply have a passion for working with young people and you are looking for new work experience opportunities?

Come and be part of the Burnley FC in the Community team, delivering this famous award from the Premier League surroundings of Turf Moor.
