Get into the festive and charitable spirit by taking part in this year’s Rosemere Cancer Foundation Towneley Park Santa Dash/Stroll.
The event takes place this Saturday, at 10am, the morning of the Clarets; lunchtime clash with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at Turf Moor.
Over the last 12 months, Rosemere has given £160,000 pounds to the East Lancashire Hospital NHS Trust to help them improve their cancer services and treatments.
The cancer foundation spends the donations it receives on essential research, training and equipment that cannot be funded by the NHS, and helps to make a sufferer’s journey a little more comfortable.
Louise Grant, Rosemere’s East Lancs fundraising co-ordinator said: “We have made it a dash/stroll so people don’t get put off thinking they have to run when they can in fact go at their own pace.
“We would like everyone taking part to dress in a festive costume if possible to add to the atmosphere”.
To enter go to www.rosemere.org.uk or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, phone 01772522913.
There is a £5 entry fee for adults but accompanied children under 16 can take part for free.
