Burnley FC in the Community are pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Parish as Director of Education and Inclusion at Burnley FC in the Community.
Matt joins Burnley FC’s official charity from Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) where he was the charity’s Chief Operating Officer and a stalwart of the scheme for almost 20 years.
Bringing his extensive expertise in community development from London to East Lancashire, Matt will drive the charity’s key areas of education and social inclusion; both of which now offer expansive and varied services to a cross-section of the region’s communities.
A former teacher himself, Matt will be working closely with schools in the area as well as other key partners in the public sector.
He will also oversee the new education hub at UCFB Burnley and drive the growth of both new and existing provision.

"I’m excited to work alongside the team here and really get stuck into all the work we have to do.
"It’s very clear to me just how important this club is to the town and the vital job we have here to harness its power and influence for good in the region – it certainly feels like I’ve joined something very special.”
Matt Parish will be based at Turf Moor and is keen to meet lots of people from the communities here in Burnley and the surrounding areas.
