Gray and Vokes Shortlisted for PFA Fans' Player of the Year

Andre Gray and Sam Vokes have been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship PFA Fans’ Player of the season award alongside four other players from the division.

Six contenders have been chosen by Sky Sports pundits Ian Holloway, Peter Beagrie and Paul Merson, as well as Mike Riley, general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials and Malcolm Clarke, chairman of the Football Supporters’ Federation.

Gray was named the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year at the Football League awards, netting 25 times and grabbing 9 assists on the way to the title, while strike partner Vokes got 15 goals and 4 assists.

The Clarets strikers’ face competition from Fulham’s Ross McCormack, Fernando Forestieri (Sheffield Wednesday), Daniel Ayala (Middlesbrough) and Alan Judge (Brentford).

Voting closes at 7pm on Wednesday May 18 with the winner announced at 8pm.
