Fancy a challenge?
We want you to run the Burnley 10k to help us to raise money for local, life-changing projects!
Burnley FC in the Community is asking you to lace up your trainers and show your support in the annual 10k run in Burnley. We are a self-financing charity, who in the last year, have engaged with 35,000 people within our Health, Sport, Social inclusion and Education projects across the region.
We are delighted to be working with race organisers, Run for All, as an OFFICIAL partner charity for the run on the 5th June 2016 and would love to see as many Burnley fans running as possible on the day. We are offering FREE places to those who register, with a MINIMUM fundraising amount of £75.
As a not-for-profit organisation, all money raised for Burnley FC in the Community will be reinvested to support the delivery of projects that directly help to improve the lives of local people. From the Danny Ings Disability Sport Project, to our Soccer Schools and Men’s Healthy Weight Management Project, we run over 30 projects for people in Burnley and the surrounding areas.
Neil Hart, CEO of Burnley FC in the Community, explains: “This is a great way for Burnley fans to get involved with the club’s official charity and raise money for people in the local community. This money goes back into the area around us and genuinely changes lives forever.
"We’re offering free places for fans and there will be great prizes for those who go over and above the £75 minimum. It would be great to have a huge presence on the day!”
Fans wishing to run the 10k can register here: www.burnleyfccommunity.org/events. Please do not sign up if you cannot commit to raising the minimum fundraising amount of £75.
