Vokes Features In Wales Defeat

5 June 2016

Sam Vokes played 73 minutes as Wales ended preparations for the European Championships with a 3-0 defeat to Sweden in Stockholm.

Emil Forsberg opened the scoring for the hosts at the Friends Arena before further goals from Mikael Lustig and former Clarets striker John Guidetti.

Vokes was replaced by Simon Church late on ahead of the first game of their Euro 2016 campaign on Saturday against Slovakia in Group B (5pm kick-off).

Chris Coleman’s men will then face off against an England squad which includes Clarets captain Tom Heaton on 16 June in a 2pm kick-off.
