The following three vacancies are now available at Burnley FC in the Community, the Community Club of the Year.

Job Vacancy: Head of Education
Salary: Competitive salary + bonus scheme
Annual Leave: 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Turf Moor, Burnley, BB10 4BX

Burnley FC in the Community is seeking an experienced and forward thinking individual to lead on the management, development and delivery of its education provision. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and innovative charity about to embark on the next stage of its development. As the club’s official charity, Burnley FC in the Community sits at the heart of Burnley FC and has an enormous power to capture the imagination of thousands of people across the region. The role will involve leading on the strategic development of our portfolio of education projects providing educational support to children, young people and adults across the region.

The post holder will be primarily responsible for;
* Effective leadership and management of the charity’s education programmes
* Effective planning and evaluating of the charity’s  education programme
* Managing a team of education staff to ensure all project outcomes are achieved
* Working in collaboration with a wide range of education partners to ensure a joined up approach with schools and public sector partners

The ideal candidate will have;
At least 5 years’ experience in establishing/managing education programmes.
A QTS/PGCE or other nationally recognized teaching qualification
An excellent knowledge of funding opportunities linked to schools, employability and further education
A results driven approach, lots of creativity and innovation and a willingness to challenge the status quo, introducing new ideas and methods when required.

Job Vacancy: Business Development Executive

Main responsibilities:
Identify, develop and manage potential sponsorship and development leads and make recommendations to the CEO
Research, develop and issue cost proposals to potential corporate partners
Prepare and deliver successful pitches, prepare and submit persuasive written proposals and conduct negotiationsAccount manage all new and existing corporate partners
Ensure a collaborative approach with Burnley FC’s commercial department

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and innovative charity about to embark on its next stage of its development. As the club’s official charity, Burnley FC in the Community sits at the heart of Burnley FC and has an enormous power to capture the imagination of thousands of people across the region. The role will involve working closely with the charity’s Chief Executive Officer and existing marketing/fundraising team to develop and implement a corporate fundraising strategy to engage with the Burnley and wider East Lancashire business community.

The post holder will be responsible for growing income through developing strategic partnerships with local businesses.  Developing and managing relationships to achieve financial and activity objectives, the post holder will work with SME’s to large corporate companies to secure a stable income through corporate partnerships. You will need to excel at relationship building and be creative at networking. Ideally you will also have a sound background in corporate fundraising although a background in business development or marketing will be considered. It would be beneficial if you have some knowledge of the local business community and understand the local demographics.

The ideal candidate will have;

A strong understanding of business planning processes and analysing techniques
Demonstrate success in securing income in a similar/related field and the confidence to deal with internal and external stakeholders in order to build positive relationships
A results driven approach, lots of creativity and innovation and a willingness to challenge the status quo, introducing new ideas and methods when required.

Job Vacancy: Head of Safeguarding

Remuneration + benefits: Negotiable dependent on experience
28 days holiday (including bank holidays) 
Contract type: Fixed term contract until 30th June 2017
Location: Turf Moor, Burnley, BB10 4BX

Burnley FC in the Community is seeking a knowledgeable individual to lead on the management, development and implementation of all its safeguarding policies and protocol across all areas of the football club including both the Academy and Community departments. You will provide leadership in all areas of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. This role will be based within the community department but will have full scope to work across all areas of Burnley FC.

The post holder will be responsible for;
• Managing the relationship with the Premier League safeguarding monitor and all other safeguarding organisations
• The preparation of reports and the development of policies and procedures
• Ensure the Club is fully compliant with the Premier League safeguarding rules and regulations
• Promoting awareness throughout the club and ensuring best practice and compliance, including risk assessments and recommendations for safer working practices
• The club’s safeguarding meetings/officers within each department and will be a central point of contact for all club staff related to all safeguarding matters
• Delivering safeguarding training/workshops to club staff, players and community groups

The ideal candidate will have;
• Good knowledge of safeguarding legislation
• Experience of working in social care and dealing with issues relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults
• Exceptional communication skills and will have the upmost respect for confidentiality and the ability to manage situations with honesty and integrity
• Exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to challenge the status quo, introducing new ideas and methods as and when required.

This position will be predominantly based at Turf Moor, however you will be required to make regular visits to other sites and attend home matches throughout the season. Applicants will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work some evenings and match days as required. You will require a full, valid UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
