Photos by Bob FridScott Arfield could be in action tonight for Canada as they take on Azerbaijan in a friendly match in Austria (6pm kick-off).
The Clarets midfielder won his first cap for Benito Floro’s men in a FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mexico in March.
And ahead a double header against Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Arfield is looking forward to a different kind of test.
He said: "You take these training sessions and you try to implement what the head coach and his staff want for the games.
“The two games that are coming up are probably different to what we’re used to in the CONCACAF but if you add strings to your bow, you’re going to become a better player.
“They’ll be real tests for us the next two and then hopefully we can go on to get through into the next round of qualifiers.”
The match at the Stadion Rohrbach an der Lafnitz against Azerbaijan is the first ever encounter between the two international sides.
This June camp is their final get together before Canada face Honduras and El Salavdor in FIFA World Cup qualifying for Russia 2018.
