Young midfielder Aiden O’Neill has today signed a new three-year contract, with a further year’s option in the club’s favour.
O’Neill, 18, is a regular in the Development Squad and signed his first professional terms in January after being granted international clearance.
The Brisbane-born midfielder signed for the Clarets in 2014 after leaving Brisbane Athletic and is currently training with the first-team at their pre-season base in Evian.
And speaking from France today, he admitted he is delighted to continue his adventure with the Clarets.
O'Neill said: "It’s a pleasure to sign a new contract at Burnley. I am delighted it’s all done and I’m just ready to start hitting the ground running and working hard.
"I am enjoying it so much. There aren’t many better places to learn and we’ve a great manager to learn from too.
"It’s been a good adventure so far and hopefully it will get even better."
