Referee Confirmed For Middlesbrough Cup Tie

5 January 2016

Simon Hooper will officiate Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

The Wiltshire official has taken charge of 26 games so far in the 2015/16 campaign, issuing 60 yellow cards and two cards in the process.

It will be the third Clarets’ game he has overseen this season, with the last coming in the 1-1 home draw against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Four players were booked on that occasion; three for the visitors and Ben Mee for the Clarets.

Mr Hooper will be assisted by Mr Scott Ledger, Mr Tom Nield and fourth official Mark Dwyer.
