Dan Agyei stepped up his return from injury with a goal in a 1-0 win over Nike Academy.
The striker, who made his first start in five months last week, scored the winner at St. George’s Park.
The 18-year-old, who arrived in the summer from Wimbledon, played alongside five trialists in the Clarets’ latest training match.
Following the win, Senior Professional Development Phase Coach Michael Jolley stated how pleased he was despite the changes and unfamiliarity to the team.
Jolley said: “I’m pleased with the result and the performance today because even though there was a number of changes to the side, we still controlled the game and played good football.
“We had a number of trialists playing in the game, and even though they have only spent a few days at the club, the team put in a typical Burnley performance which is pleasing.
“We have had a number of trialists coming in throughout the season and we are always keen to see what talent they can offer us.”
