Burnley FC manager, Sean Dyche, plus stars Andre Gray and Paul Robinson, launched the popular Burnley 10K at a sunny Barnfield Training Centre yesterday.
Kitted out in Burnley FC in the Community t-shirts, the gaffer and players were representing the club’s official charity, who are a partner charity of the event for the very first time this year.
Burnley FC in the Community have a number of places up for grabs at the run - and ALL the funds raised from the event will go to supporting the organisation’s charitable work in Burnley and the surrounding areas.
Siobhán McNamara, Partnerships and Events Executive at Burnley FC in the Community (pictured, above, with Andre) said; “It was so great to have Sean and the players really get behind our involvement in this year’s Burnley 10k event!
"As a partner charity for the first time, we want more runners than ever to take part on our behalf.
"Fundraising events like the Burnley 10k are key for us; we are entirely self-financing, relying on sponsorship, donations and grants to do the work we do.
All the money raised from this event will be going right back into creating positive change in Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale via our sports participation, education, health and social inclusion projects.”
