Turf Moor is hosting a special seminar and webinar on mental health in Sport this Friday, April 22.
Ex-Claret Clarke Carlisle, along with Alastair Campbell and former Physio Paul Lake are among the guest speakers at the event, which takes place in the UCFB between 4pm – 5.30pm.
Clarke will also host the event, which also includes on the panel ex-player Alan Tonge and sports psychologist Jen Lace.
A group of seven UCFB Sports Business and Coaching students have organised the seminar, which aims to inform, influence and attempt to educate potential guests around the subject of mental health, and the stigma it possesses, particularly in the world of sport.
The main objective is to actually provide all attendees with some sort of learning experience, with raising money for a chosen charity hopefully being a short and long-term bi-product of that.
Doors open at 3.30pm, admission is £8 adults and £5 students and all monies raised will go to the charity Mind, the mental health charity.
