It was a busy summer transfer window for the Clarets in preparation for the Sky Bet Championship campaign.
Deadline day proved to be a quiet one at Turf Moor, with Marvin Sordell and Luke O’Neill's departures the only business in the last 24 hours.
Matt Lowton was the first signing of the summer from Aston Villa, and the club went on to break their transfer record with the addition of striker Andre Gray from Brentford.
German striker Rouwen Hennings arrived from Karlsruhe and Chris Long, Tendayi Darikwa all complemented the nucleus of the squad that played in the 2014/15 Barclays Premier League season.
Jelle Vossen joined the club from RC Genk for an undisclosed fee, but departed in the same window back to his homeland with Club Brugge after failing to settle in England.
The final piece of business was the addition of experienced midfielder Joey Barton on a free transfer.
As an aside, England international goalkeeper and newly-appointed skipper Tom Heaton, Scott Arfield and David Jones all committed their future to the club.
The club also enhanced their Development squad with the signings of Dan Agyei, Josh Ginnelly, Luke Hendrie and Renny Smith.
