Marney And Hennings On Target In City Win

Dean Marney made a goalscoring return as a strong Burnley Development Squad won 6-2 in a behind-closed-doors game against Manchester City.

The Clarets midfielder was on target, along with summer signing Rouwen Hennings, who scored twice against a young Blues line-up.

New arrivals Chris Long and Dan Agyei, and third-year scholar Bradley Jackson completed the scoring.

Marney and Kevin Long, also on the way back from a cruciate knee injury, played 65 minutes, with Hennings, a fit-again Matt Lowton and Matthew Taylor all playing the full game.
