Burnley FC in the Community want kids’ spare football kits!
In October, a group of eight Burnley FC in the Community volunteers are returning to the primary school in Ghana the charity first visited in October 2014 to carry out vital community work. The children who attend the Dedzidi School in Woe live in real poverty and we want to kit them out, Clarets style!
Each volunteer travelling to Ghana will have nearly 50kg of baggage allowance. Can you help fill up their suitcases?
Drop off point
If you have any spare, clean children’s football shirts or shorts, you can drop them at the club shop at Turf Moor throughout September.
The shop will be open as a drop off point on the three match days during September as well as during the week.
Alongside Burnley FC kits, all good quality, clean, children’s clothing donations are welcome. Due to the hot climate in Ghana, the children are in particular need of t-shirts, shorts and flip flops (ages 0-11).
A portion of the fundraising for the African Adventures trip will also come back to Burnley FC in the Community to support our charitable work here in Burnley and the surrounding areas.
The African Adventures trip is from 24th October to 2nd November. Donations to the fundraising event can be made at Burnley FC in the Community’s JustGiving page.
