Clarets mascot aims to get into shape as an Active ClaretMuch-loved Clarets mascot, Bertie Bee, is on a mission to lose some weight and lead a healthier lifestyle.
As a result, Bertie will be taking some much needed time off from his matchday duties, missing the forthcoming fixtures against Huddersfield Town and Fulham, in order to get fitter and change his lifestyle for the better!
Bertie will be joining Burnley FC in the Community’s Active Clarets programme, where he will be taking part in a range of physical activity programmes over the coming weeks.
Over the coming weeks Bertie will be getting involved in our Healthy Eating Schools Programme, taking part in Extra Time, which will include a health walk around the Turf Moor pitch. He will be joining fitness activities across the town and will be visiting Gawthorpe to take part in a session with the players!
Junior Clarets Player HD will be following Bertie's progress, so watch out for a video soon on our official YouTube channel.
Bertie will return to action for the Clarets clash on Sunday, 22nd November v Brighton and Hove Albion, live on Sky Sports.
Burnley FC in the Community’s Active Clarets programme focuses on promoting the importance of healthy lifestyles and reducing the health inequalities across the region.
The programme also aims to improve the quality of frontline preventative health services utilising the power of Burnley FC.
