Sean Dyche will make a late call on the fitness of Sam Vokes ahead of Saturday’s Championship clash at Cardiff City.
The Welsh international trained on Thursday as he looks to shake off the effects of a groin strain that forced him to miss last weekend’s Turf Moor draw with Brighton and Hove Albion.
And Clarets boss Dyche admitted there was still a question mark over the striker’s fitness for the game in the Welsh capital.
Dyche said: “We are looking good, squad-wise, for the weekend.
“I know there was a question mark last weekend over Sam and that remains again.
“He has been back on the grass on Thursday and another 24 hours we will have clarity on that.
“Other than that, everyone is looking good.”
Full match preview with Sean Dyche and Clarets skipper and ex-Cardiff City goalkeeper Tom Heaton will be on the official website as we continue to build up to Saturday’s game.
