Boyd Named Supporters Clubs' Player Of The Year

Midfielder George Boyd was the big winner at the Supporters Club’s annual Awards Night on Tuesday evening, winning seven awards.

The winger, who is in his debut season for the Clarets, won six Player of the Year awards to pip Tom Heaton, Ashley Barnes and Danny Ings to the overall trophy.

The Scotland international was also awarded goal of the season for his winner against Manchester City, which was voted for on the night.

The supporters awards traditionally take place in the build-up to the official Player of the Year awards night, which take place at Turf Moor next Monday.
