Burnley Football Club hosted the official world launch of Alastair Campbell’s new book ‘Winners’ on Tuesday afternoon.
The Clarets fan and former Downing Street Director of Communications was at Turf Moor to unveil the book alongside current Burnley manager Sean Dyche, who features in the book.
Ex-Clarets striker Paul Fletcher hosted the event, sponsored by Neville Gee, and the guest speaker in front of over 200 people was two-time European Cup winner with Liverpool, Alan Kennedy.
They included local business leaders, Clarets fans, former players and a welcome Turf Moor return for 2009 Wembley winner Clarke Carlisle, who is on the mend after suffering serious injuries late last year.

And the attendees heard Campbell give an insight into the many world leaders, sportsmen and women who are the achieving subjects of the book.
And Campbell, who ended the event by interviewing Dyche on stage, was proud to have the launch of his 11th book at Turf Moor.
He said: “It was all Paul Fletcher’s idea, and of course I love the club, so I was happy to oblige.
“This place and this football club means a lot to me and I have written a book about winners, and winning and Burnley are rightly in there!”
“The idea of my club putting on a lunch for me and my book was just fantastic and to see all these great players and managers from my past, like Fletch, Frank Casper and Jim Thompson and Stan Ternent was just terrific.
“Sean came along as well to have a little chat on the stage as well, which was great, so all in all it was a wonderful day.”
