Taylor Returns To Action

6 March 2015

Midfielder Matthew Taylor returned to action on Friday for the Development Squad in a 0-0 draw at Bolton Wanderers’ Training Ground.

The versatile midfielder played 45 minutes in his first competitive game since receiving surgery on his Achilles in October.

Taylor, who signed as a free agent in July, has featured four times for the Clarets in the league, the last of those being in a 0-0 draw against Manchester United in August.

On the return of Taylor, Clarets boss Sean Dyche said:

“We are delighted to have Matty back in action. There were no signs of any problems as we eased him back and now we look to build on that and go forward.”

Burnley: Gilks; Daly (Lowe 70) (Whitmore 87), Anderson, Duff, Ward; Reid, Taylor (Hewitt 45), Wallace, Sordell; Jutkiewicz, Vokes.
