Loan Watch

8 March 2015

Clarets defender Danny Lafferty played the full 90 minutes and helped Rotherham United to a clean sheet in a 0-2 victory at Huddersfield Town.

The Northern Ireland international made his Millers debut just days after signing on a one-month loan as boss Steve Evans freshened up his back-line.

The result was a timely boost for the Yorkshire side’s survival hopes and they moved up a place to 20th in the Sky Bet Championship.

Elsewhere, Alex Cisak and Luke O’Neill both played the full 90 minutes for Leyton Orient, but were unable to prevent a narrow 1-0 defeat away at promotion hopefuls Peterborough United. Fabio Liverani’s men sit 21st in Sky Bet League One.

Young striker Jason Gilchrist joined up with Accrington Stanley teammates for the first time after signing on a youth loan until the end of the season on Friday afternoon.

Gilchrist was an unused substitute as Stanley drew 1-1 with Portsmouth at the Store First Stadium.
