Clarets defender wins 11th cap in narrow defeat to Scotland

Danny Lafferty played the full 90 minutes for Northern Ireland as they were defeated late on against Scotland.

Lafferty, who is currently on loan at Sky Bet Championship side Rotherham United, won his 11th cap at Hampden Park.

Ipswich Town defender Christophe Berra headed home debutant Matt Ritchie’s corner in the 85th minute for the hosts to seal victory.

Clarets defender Lafferty will now be hoping to start in the crunch UEFA European Championshhip qualifier against Finland on Sunday at Windsor Park.
