Clarets Confirm Swiss Friendly

Burnley Football Club can confirm a friendly with Swiss side Étoile Carouge FC to round off their pre-season training camp in Évian-les-Bains.

The Clarets will make the short trip across the border from France to the 7,200 capacity Stade de la Fontenette in Carouge on Friday, July 10 (KO 7pm local time).

Étoile Carouge, founded in 1904, is a Swiss Third Division side located in the Canton of Geneva in the south western corner of Switzerland, close to the French border.

They played in the top tier of Swiss football as recently as 1997-1998.

Admission to the game, which is still subject to Football Association permission, will be 10 Swiss Francs, which equates to around £7 sterling.

The Republic and Canton of Geneva is the French-speaking westernmost canton or state of Switzerland, surrounded on almost all sides by France.

First team fixtures (confirmed) are as follows:

Friday, July 10:Étoile Carouge FC at theStade de la Fontenette in Carouge (7pm)
Pay on the gate: CHF 10 (approx £7).

Saturday, July 18: Accrington Stanley at the Store First Stadium (3pm)
Ticket prices will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Tuesday, July 28 Fleetwood Town at the Highbury Stadium (7.45pm).
Pay on the gate: Adults £12.50, Over 65 and U18 £7.50, U16 £2.50, U5s free.

Saturday, August 1: Bradford City at Turf Moor in the Michael Duff Testimonial game (3pm).
Ticket prices will be confirmed as soon as possible.
