Clarets Return For Pre-Season Testing

The Clarets squad returned to the club’s Gawthorpe training ground today for pre-season testing ahead of the 2015/16 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

They were put through their paces by the Sports Science team, who took height and weight measurements, carried out stretching exercises, balance work and strength tests upon the player’s return.

New signing Matt Lowton got chance to meet his new teammates for the first time and, internationals Tom Heaton and Michael Keane aside, all of the first-team squad were in attendance.

The first full training session will take place tomorrow and the squad fly out to Geneva for their pre-season camp at the end of the week.

That trip will culminate in a pre-season friendly against Swiss 1. Liga Promotion side Etoile Carouge on Friday July, 10 (7pm kick-off).

When they return to the UK, the Clarets will face the following pre-season schedule:

Saturday, July 18: Accrington Stanley at the Store First Stadium (3pm)

Tuesday, July 21: Rangers FC at Ibrox Stadium (7.45pm)
Ticket prices will confirmed as soon as possible

Saturday, July 25: Chesterfield at the Proact Stadium (3pm)
Ticket prices will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Tuesday, July 28: Fleetwood Town at the Highbury Stadium (7.45pm).
Pay on the gate: Adults £12.50, Over 65 and U18 £7.50, U16 £2.50, U5s free.

Saturday, August 1: Bradford City at Turf Moor in the Michael Duff Testimonial game (3pm).
