Long Signs New Turf Deal

6 January 2015

Burnley Football Club is delighted to confirm that defender Kevin Long has signed new terms at Turf Moor, which will keep him at the club until June 2017.

The former Cork City man, 24, made 11 appearances in last year’s promotion-winning campaign and provided fierce competition for Michael Duff and Jason Shackell.

During his time at Turf Moor, he has also enjoyed loan spells at Accrington Stanley, Rochdale and Portsmouth.

Unfortunately for Long, his Premier League debut lasted just 21 minutes at Newcastle United on New Year’s Day after he suffered a cruciate knee injury and he will now start the road to recovery.
