The Clarets development squad beat Cardiff City 1-0 on Friday at Loughborough University in Leicestershire.
Defender Luke Conlan scored the only goal of the game, heading home the winner from a corner in the 75th minute.
The Clarets featured two trialists in the starting line-up, with one starting in goal.
With Cameron Dummigan still on the treatment table, Luke Daly again switched from his natural position of central midfield to right back.
The towering duo of Alex Whitmore and Tom Anderson played in the centre of the defence, with goalscorer Conlan completing the back four at left back.
After scoring the late equaliser at Lincoln, Kevin Ly partnered Steven Hewitt, Evan Galvin and Cameron Howieson in midfield, with the second trialist accompanying Jason Gilchrist in the attack.
The Clarets saw out a late onslaught from the Bluebirds, but held strong and sealed their 10th win in 15 games.
Meanwhile, Burnley Football Club can confirm that defender Callum Richardson has left the club by mutual consent and has returned to his homeland Australia. Everyone at Turf Moor wishes Callum well in his future career.
