Sam Vokes believes the Clarets will bounce back from a frustrating Lancashire derby defeat to Preston North End.
Goals from Will Keane and Daniel Johnson without reply saw Burnley’s nine-game unbeaten run come to an end at Turf Moor.
But, reflecting on a difficult afternoon, Vokes says that the squad are focused on putting it right in at the start of a three-game week on Saturday against QPR.
“It was very disappointing and frustrating as well. I feel like we had a lot of good chances in the game and some good possession.
“I was a bit worried after the first goal. It was tackle on the halfway line and he’s gone through the back of my knee and luckily I managed to get up and jog it off.
“If we’d have got the goal in the first 20 minutes when we were on top it’d have been a completely different game but we didn’t and unfortunately conceded two bad goals on our behalf.”
“We know what we’re about at this level and we’ll bounce back.
“There is a three game week next week and there are some tough games in there but we’re looking forward to it.
“It's QPR next and you often get that reaction from new manager’s but it’s one where we’ve got to have a good week’s training, pick ourselves up and go down there full of confidence.”
