The Elite Training Centre (ETC) at Turf Moor was transformed into a festive celebration of all things Christmas and community yesterday evening.
Burnley FC in the Community, in partnership with Churches Together Working in Burnley, hosted the evening of traditional carols and prayers, led by a local brass band and enjoyed by 300 people from the Burnley community.
Whilst tucking into mince pies and hot drinks, those gathered in the ETC also enjoyed a nativity sketch performed by pupils of St. Mary’s, RC Primary School, as well as readings and carols led by both St. James’ C of E Primary School and St Stephen’s C of E Primary School.
Neil Hart, CEO of Burnley FC in the Community said; “Community is so important to Burnley FC, therefore it was our pleasure to host this fantastic carol service. We hope everyone enjoyed coming together for the festive celebrations, and on behalf of both Burnley FC in the Community and Churches Together Working in Burnley, we thank the entire community for showing their support.”
