Following a successful first year Burnley FC in the Community is still recruiting young male players between the ages of 16-18 to participate in 2 year Futsal & Education Scholarship starting next September. A Trial Event will be held at Elite Training Centre, Turf Moor on August 5th 2015 at 6.00 pm.
This is fantastic opportunity for young aspiring players to develop their technique, skills, ability and overall fitness. Futsal is a fast paced small sided game that is developing player’s awareness on and off the ball, ball control, confidence, shooting and teamwork which are all transferable skills to the 11 a-side game. Not only do you get to be part of the club you also have the opportunity to gain excellent qualifications and develop your knowledge in physiotherapy, fitness testing, diet and nutrition.
This is a great chance for young players to train and live life like a professional on the Futsal Scholarship here at Burnley FC.
Harry Aldred, First Year Scholar said: “I’m glad I chose this course because being given the opportunities to use professional facilities to work and train is helping me grow and improve as a student. Getting to travel to different parts of the country to compete against other professional clubs and being provided with full Burnley playing kit is a massive privilege and opportunity that I couldn’t turn down. I get the opportunity to ball boy on match days for the first team through this course which is a great experience for me. I also get opportunities to volunteer for the club, assisting with sessions based on football through to media.”
