Burnley boss Sean Dyche is delighted that the club’s international recruitment system is now starting to pay dividends, following the signing of Rouwen Hennings.
The German striker has linked up with the Clarets from Karlsruher SC, after being targeted by the new widened policy.
“The fans have heard me mention many times the increased attention to recruitment and looking into European markets.
“It’s one which we are slowly building and Rouwen is a player who has come out of that thinking and system.
"The recruitment department have been monitoring him for a number of months now and when it became clear that he was possibly available, then we felt he was one who it was appropriate to bring into the club.
“We welcome him to the club and look for him to be a big success with us.”
